Job Responsibilities

With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.

This position is located at the Aiken-Barnwell Mental Health Center, 1135 Gregg Highway, Aiken, SC 29803.Job Purpose

Manages the agency's information technology, data processing and management information system. Serves as local IT system analyst/administrator. Assists with the development of comprehensive reports, analyzes data, and serves as consultant to Senior Management. Oversees hardware and software system requirements.Job Functions:

Plan, organize, staff, direct and monitor all aspects of communications and IT operations.Develops short- and long-term IT goals.Plan and oversee agency's information system includes data processing, databases, and program evaluation activities.Assists with development of fiscal and program evaluation systems including research design, data collection, and analysis.Ensure system security and confidentiality of information.Plan, monitor, troubleshoot and maintain computer hardware and LAN/network operation, including on-going system development and procurement.Provide training and software support to other staff.Provide management information and consultation to agency and department heads through development of routine and special reports.Oversees testing, monitoring, and maintenance of computer equipment.Monitors inventory.Maintains/oversees all system documentation and daily computer back-ups.Assists in determining end user computer needs and facilitates needed updates, equipment orders and quarterly site inspections/reviews.Ensure proper functioning of all equipment (computers, printers, phones, postage machines, fax machines, cell phones, etc).Responsible for imaging, staffing training and obtaining VPN tokens.Attends system administration and computer user's meetings, as required.Facilitates IT department meetings.Special Projects/Other: Plan, organize and manage other projects, as requested.Performs other duties, as required.Complies with all applicable Quality Assurance, Corporate Compliance, and Cultural Competence policies, procedures, and regulations of all Federal and State laws as well as attend all training classified mandatory by Federal and State regulations.Minimum and Additional Requirements

State Minimum Requirements:A high school diploma and experience in office automation systems, data communications system design, installation, operation, repair, or processing of information in a data processing environment or related systems. An associate degree or a bachelor's degree in a related field may be substituted for the required work experience.

Agency (Facility) Minimum Requirement:One (1) years' experience in information technology as noted above.

Relevant IT CertificationConsiderable knowledge of computer programs.Knowledge of network services and data communications.Knowledge of methods of network design and equipment configuration requirements.Knowledge of office automation systems, information processing operations, fiber optics, micro/minicomputer hardware/software and multiplexers as they relate to the latest trends in voice and data networks connectivity.Knowledge of computer system analysis, design, testing, debugging and maintenance techniques.Ability to train, direct and coordinate the work of subordinate personnel.Ability to present technical and non-technical reports in a clear and concise manner.Ability to establish effective working relationships with vendors, management staff and users.General supervision is provided by the Center Administrator and SCDMH IT meetings.Employee is responsible for SCDMH/ABMHC policies and procedures.Employee must be able to lift and move computers and other IT equipment with no assistance at least waist high for up to three feet and up to 45 lbs.Travel to Columbia and within ABMHC catchment area expected.Must possess a valid Driver's license.Ability to operate a state vehicle.Position is considered essential and may be called back for crises/disasters/emergencies.Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.Additional Comments
