Job Responsibilities

With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.

This position is located at the 431 W Martintown Road, North Augusta, SC 29841.Job PurposeUnder general supervision, performs receptionist and administrative duties independently at the Hartzog office. Uses knowledge of operation and general office procedures to make independent decisions concerning processing of information and customer relations.Job FunctionsMonitors the schedules of assigned clinical/medical staff to ensure maximum efficiency of patient care hours.Consistently backfills any cancelled appointments.Makes bank deposits on time and per policy.Collects payments from patients.Ensures compliance with DOFS policies and procedures.Greets patients upon arrival and is responsive to their needs.Provides exceptional customer service when answering the phone.Provides engagement for clinicians assigned to Hartzog clinic and adheres to SCDMH/ABMHC policy regarding missed appointments and engagement.Enters and imports fiscal, demographics, and insurance information into CIS.Imports assigned documentation into EMR system.Participates in supervision, trainings, and agency meetings and complies with Corporate Compliance and Risk Management policy and plan.Participates in Cultural Affairs trainings and demonstrates effective use of social and interpersonal knowledge and skills.Conducts patient registration for new admissions.Other duties as neededMinimum and Additional Requirements

State Minimum Requirements:

A High school diploma. Related experience may be substituted for a high school diploma.Agency (Facility) Preferences:

A high school diploma and two years of clerical experience; or an associate degree in secretarial science or other related field; or three years of clerical experience.

Requires the knowledge of general office procedures.Requires the ability to utilize standard computer programs/equipment as well as ability to learn SCDMH operating systems.Employee receives general supervision and support from immediate supervisor.A valid driver's license is required.Ability to lift 5lbs.Operate a state vehicle (as applicable to position).Position is considered essential and may be called back during crises/disasters/emergencies.Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.Additional Comments
