Promote the Safety Culture of Agri-ServiceAttend all safety training both in person and virtual.Advocate and exemplify safety and safe working habits using proper safety equipment not limited to hand, face, ear and eye protection. (PPE)Follows company safety policies and procedures on the jobsite, promotes safe behavior with our customers.Maintains a clean office environment.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Actively cares for and advocates safety at Agri-ServiceIdentifies company safety training needs and develops and coordinates safety training programsConducts site inspections and audits, recommends corrective action where hazards existManages Environmental compliance including tracking and reportingConducts environmental inspections to control environmental hazards.Work with vendors as appropriate (ex. Safety Kleen)Acts as the liaison between the Safety Liaison team and the Executive teamProvides frequent reports and information regarding safety related metricsProvide direction and coaching with supervisors and managers on how to manage and obtain desired safety resultsLeads incident investigations and reports findings and process improvement suggestions to continually improveTracks injury reporting, including incident analysis, and concerns regarding hazards in the workplaceAnalyze incident reports and metrics to drive changes that lead to a safer work environmentCollaborates with peers and managers to share best practices across the organizationKeeps updated on new developments in regulatory changes and incorporates this information into the company’s business planningCommunicates programs to enhance employee awareness of prevention and complianceConducts monthly Safety Committee meetingsCoordinates with Safety Liaisons to ensure consistent and timely training throughout the organizationMaintains training records as required and prepares reports and documentation as neededAbility to balance time between multiple prioritiesAdheres to all applicable safety policies, procedures and standardsMay accomplish training and serve as a team member in support of Agri-Service’s strategic programs, projects, and initiativesWorks within and promotes vision, mission, and values of the organizationPerforms other duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Proven skills in written and verbal communications, planning, organizing, leadership and interpersonal relationship building requiredAbility to present information to a group of people, respond to questions, relate well to all levels of the workforce, set and manage priorities and be a team player that motivates and educates other team membersFirst Aid or CPR Trainer or Ability to become certified to train in CPR/First Aid within One year of employmentEstablishes and maintains effective working relationships with others to include customers, vendors, employees and the publicOccasional overnight travel required as necessary to complete the job requirementsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelor’s degree in Safety or a related field plus one to three years related experience with a comparable Safety program or an equivalent combination of education and experience requiredPrior experience in the development and delivery of safety training courses requiredKnowledge of regulatory documentation requirementsValid driver’s license and acceptable driving record requiredExperience in large equipment industry preferredMust be able to communicate in English (speak, read, comprehend, write)PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:Must be able to sit for long periods of time along with walking, standing, climbing stairs, reaching pushing, pulling, leaning and twistingMust be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 poundsMust be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies
