Job Summary

The Estimating Manager is responsible for supervising the quality and efficiency of estimates developed by the PDR team. The Estimating Manager adheres to the PDR Standards for Estimating with accuracy, profitability, and efficiency and ensures that such standards are followed by all Estimators. The Estimating Manager carries supervisory responsibilities including training, mentoring, coaching, and performance supervision of the Estimating Team. The Estimating Manager may be assigned to perform site inspections, develop scopes of work, assist PMs, and manage restoration projects. The Estimating Manager reports to the General Manager.

Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesSupport and take actions based on PDR’s Vision, Mission, and Values.Build, mentor, train, and lead teams to deliver superior customer service with a focus on attention to detail and a sense of urgency.Displays dedication, leadership, and commitment to PDR.Support the Operations Dept. by performing and developing accurate scopes of work for restoration projects utilizing Symbility and/or Xactimate.Produces supplemental and comparative estimates.Negotiate scopes of work directly with Third Party Administrators (TPAs) and adjusters.Works directly with the General Manager to distribute work evenly amongst Estimators and track their progress from site inspection to estimate submission/approval and Work Authorization.Review all structurally complex claims and scopes that exceed $75k or as requested by Estimators.Perform random reviews on previously uploaded estimates for accuracy and to use as a teaching tool to sharpen the skills of the estimators.Review Compliances Report to identify inspections and estimates due and communicate the needs of the department with the team daily.Ensure timelines are met for estimate/supplement submittal.Provide input and suggestions to Estimators to contribute to their professional development.Understand, adhere to, and maintain updated TPA/Carrier Protocols and Guidelines.Acts professionally when interacting with team members, customers, and clients while displaying empathy, a sense of urgency, and good listening skills.Support upper management by accepting additional tasks without hesitation.Assist the company by developing Standard Operational Procedures for the department.Updates Estimating Protocols and Procedure Guidelines provided by TPAs and distributes to Estimating Team.Monitor performance and address shortcomings from Estimators with empathy and care.Develops performance review forms and reviews them with Estimators.Conducts weekly meetings with Estimators.Notify the GM of projects or situations detrimental to meeting compliance or providing superb customer service.Understand the nature of the Restoration Industry (24/7) and respond to requests for assistance timely.Collaborate with the Business Development Manager by identifying and developing business relationships that may be profitable for PDR.Display a positive attitude, ability to cooperate, and be a part of our team.Collaborate with the onboarding and training of new employees.Other duties as directed by management.
