Project Coordinator

Forgotten Futures, a music based nonprofit, seeks a part-time project coordinator to help with day-to-day operations of the organization. The role will support both the organization’s founder, a Grammy award winning multi-instrumentalist, as well as the musician’s full time Project Manager.

A detail oriented individual with excellent communication skills is sought; experience in, and a passion for music and art based projects is preferred but not required.

This is a part-time permanent position that requires 16-20 hours per week ideally spread out over 4 weekday days. A set schedule will be mutually arranged with some flexibility to accommodate both the Coordinator and the organization.Compensation: $23/hour.

Core Responsibilities

A wide variety of day to day administrative and operational duties as assigned in support of the musician and project manager.

Regularly review and support postings on social media accounts, online stores, websites, etc.

Merchandise administration which includes listing, fulfillment and inventory tracking.

Management of equipment reselling stores on Reverb and eBay.

Maintain worldwide musical instrument and recording studio equipment insurance details with a 3rd party insurer.

Weekly receipt reconciliation as well as the management and coordination of accounts payable with a 3rd party business management team.

Administrate freight and mailing projects both nationally and internationally.

Assist with travel booking and meeting scheduling.

Special research projects and other administrative projects as necessary.

Minimum Requirements

Please be comfortable working in both administrative and creative settings.

A Bachelor’s Degree in the arts or a related field is preferred, but relevant work experience will certainly be considered.

You should be proficient in Mac ecosystems, Gmail correspondence, Google Drive and Google applications, Pages, Numbers, Dropbox, Adobe products, all Social Media platforms, and online sales platforms such as Shopify, Reverb and Ebay.

You should be able to comfortably lift 20 pounds, must drive and have a valid driver’s license.

You should be comfortable working independently and will be doing a lot of this work remotely, though weekly in person meetings in Portland will be required.
