PURPOSE:
The primary purpose of this position is to assist Silver State Schools Credit Union to live out its Mission, "Excellent Member Service and Financial Solutions - For Life," by providing outstanding service to both members and internal members.
SUMMARY:
As a Business Portfolio and Relationship Officer at our credit union, you will be responsible for creating, developing, and managing a portfolio of complex business members, providing comprehensive support in lending, money movement, document collection, servicing, and relationship management. Your role is pivotal in maintaining strong member relationships, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and collaborating with the Assistant Vice President (AVP) to update and implement operational guidelines.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Education - A Bachelor degree in business administration, finance, or Accounting is preferred. However, a college degree in another field along with a minimum of five (5) years in the commercial lending industry is acceptable. Proven experience in business banking, commercial lending, or portfolio management.

Your role is pivotal in maintaining strong member relationships, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and collaborating with the Assistant Vice President (AVP) to update and implement operational guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Portfolio Management:
- Manage a portfolio of complex business members, ensuring their financial needs are met effectively.
- Monitor member accounts, conduct regular reviews, and proactively address issues or opportunities.
- Conduct reviews/renewals of member accounts/loans to assess performance according to MBL policy
- Coordinate review/renewal processes in collaboration with the AVP
Member Servicing and Relationship Management:
- Facilitate lending processes for business members, including loan applications and disbursements.
- Ensure quality assurance for business banking department originated loans under $50k, including inputting loans, communicating conditions and boarding.
- Through an organized and consultative approach, develops new depository, loan, and money movement member relationships with prospective clients to introduce the Credit Unions products and services.
- Makes site visits to prospective or existing members' offices to examine collateral for new or existing loans or other assessments as needed.
- Participates in community events to promote the Credit Union's available services and financial products.
- Provide personalized service to members, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining high satisfaction levels.
- Foster strong relationships with members to deepen engagement and identify opportunities for additional services including money movement services working with Business Services Specialist.
- Assist in money movement activities, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
- Identify opportunities to expand business with existing members through cross-selling and upselling of products and services.
Operations, Policy and Procedure:
- Collect necessary documents from members for loan applications, reviews, renewals, and service requests.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies throughout the process.
- Collaborate with the AVP to review, update, and implement policies and procedures related to business banking operations.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the AVP and other team members to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
