Located on the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham campus, the hospital has a deep clinical infrastructure, equipment and facilities and expert, experienced teams to deliver full clinical pathways across a mix of specialties and sub-specialties at all levels of complexity including Cardiology, Cancer, Complex surgery and Orthopaedics.As a Clinical Specialist at the Harborne Hospital, you will rotate through MRI and CT. There would also be an expectation to work in General X-ray as required for leave and sickness.Duties & Responsibilities:Provide accurate diagnostic imaging serviceRotate through CT and MRI and Plain Film X-ray when necessaryWork within Radiation protection guidelines in accordance with the Local Rules and 2017 Ionising Radiation Medical Exposure Regulations IR(ME)R to ensure that the correct patient receives the correct x-ray examination with the minimum radiation dose by using ALARA principles and MHRA guidelinesHave initiative and provide high level of customer careMaintain patient confidentiality at all times in accordance with HCA policies & professional Code of ConductWork as a team player, ensuring cover is provided at all times across all modalities, maximising clinical efficiencyParticipate in an on-call rotaParticipate in extended working days (by rota)What You’ll Bring:HCPC registrationPrior experience in MRI and CT (Siemens preferable).
