Conexus Indiana’s vision is that Indiana will be recognized as the global leader in Advanced Manufacturing and Logistics (AML). An initiative of the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership (CICP), Conexus is focused on achieving its vision through a mission to accelerate, promote and grow Indiana’s AML economy by leading innovative collaborations between industry, academic and public sector partners.The Vice President, Talent Strategy and Programming promotes Conexus Indiana, its industry sector and organizational objectives by developing and executing a strategic talent development plan that will favorably impact Indiana’s advanced manufacturing and logistics industries. This plan includes leadership of activities and initiatives that inspire and facilitate the entry of youth and adults into increasingly high tech, high demand AML careers.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESLead all Conexus Indiana’s programs that educate, inform development, and inspire talent to create a motivated and prepared workforce pipeline for the Advanced Manufacturing and Logistics industries.Lead efforts to define the voice of industry as it relates future talent needs and specific job descriptions, in support of the Modern Apprenticeship/ILab Project.Work closely with Ascend Indiana staff on relevant talent activities and programs related to AML skills alignment.Develop a strategic approach for the continuous improvement and expansion of existing skills alignment programs.Represent Conexus Indiana and build strong partnerships with relevant stakeholders within public education, industry, post-secondary institutions and elected officials.Work with employers, education providers and government entities to embrace and adapt to the occupations and pathways above.Work with fellow CICP initiatives to develop and execute shared talent strategies, driving collaboration and collective impact.Conduct analysis to identify and define key strategic challenges and opportunities for talent advancement in the AML sector.Optimize talent programs’ recruitment, diversity and inclusion efforts, employer engagement, programming and professional development strategies.Ensure that talent programs achieve desired outcomes.Lead, develop, manage and hire the members of the talent team to achieve Conexus Indiana’s talent program goals, priorities, objectives and long-term success.Contribute to decisions, ideas, culture and leadership team effectiveness.Develop and account for team and programs budgets.Create strategic and relevant materials to support talent initiatives.Compose reports, action plans, and proposals aimed at influencing key stakeholder relationships and codifying our community’s learning journey.Deliver presentations and contribute written content on behalf of the organization regarding talent strategy, serving as Conexus Indiana’s primary workforce expert.Serve as a recognized thought leader, driving impact at the local, state and federal level.Other related duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.A minimum of 10 years (manufacturing preferred) of effective experience leading strategy, operations, and continuous improvement efforts; driving initiatives to achieve results; managing an experienced team and; employing quantitative and qualitative analysis.Results-oriented, decisive, and analytical, leading to creative solutions to successful completion, while managing key stakeholder involvement.Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.Excellent written and oral communications skills to include grammar, punctuation and spelling.Possessing a positive, enthusiastic attitude with mission focus, while motivating others to lead.Demonstrated seven-figure fundraising success from a combination of new and established investors from government, industry and philanthropy.Consistently demonstrates the knowledge, skills, abilities, and other behaviors necessary to provide superior work product.Experience working independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.Experience and credibility with employers.Familiarity with education and workforce development.A track record of overachievement and team development.A mind for creative talent solutions and a passion for building pathways through which employers can grow and individuals can access opportunities for prosperity.A gift for speaking and influence.Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a highly results-oriented environment.Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.Excellent organizational skills.High level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office programs.DETAILS
