ExemptJob Role Summary:At Eskenazi Health, the Internal Talent and Career Development Partner position is responsible for the strategic design, development and deployment of internal qualified staff and career development initiatives across the system. In conjunction with the Talent Acquisition Manager and Lead Talent Acquisition Strategist, this position leads and supports projects and initiatives that impact how internal employees can build lasting careers at Eskenazi Health and support the organization’s ability to grow and retain key talent.The Internal Talent and Career Development Partner focuses on achieving hiring and promotion transparency including staff education regarding hiring, implementing strategies to retain skilled/high performing internal talent who consider exiting the system, educating current employees on growth potential within the system, creating programs to remove potential barriers to advancement, and providing proactive communication for those looking to develop. This position requires a passion for developing individuals along with a vision for the future of healthcare and the healthcare workforce as well as the ability to translate ideas into actionable projects and drive execution in a complex and matrixed environment.This position provides thought leadership in the internal recruitment/retention and career development space through implementing and utilizing internal talent pools, skill development plans, and career planning, while partnering closely with the Talent Acquisition Partners to ensure measures are in place to support the movement of employees throughout Eskenazi Health with internal recruitment efforts. This position builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders across the system to provide consulting support to targeted programs and ensure alignment with overall systemwide programs and initiatives.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Proactively contributes to Eskenazi Health’s mission: Advocate, Care, Teach and Serve with special emphasis on the vulnerable population of Marion County. Models Eskenazi Health values of Professionalism, Respect, Innovation, Development and Excellence.Participates and conducts a full life-cycle recruitment process for various positions within Eskenazi Health and strategically deploys talent resources to fulfill customer talent needs across all lines of business including recruitment of high-skilled key and critical roles, high volume recruiting, and seasonal recruiting.Maintains high level of knowledge-base in relation to recruitment and workforce trends (including pay, culture changes), partners with Public Affairs and Human Resources leadership on talent strategy.Cultivates and maintains relationships with hiring leaders, team, and management, including quarterly and monthly meetings to ensure recruitment needs are being met; prepares summary status reports of recruitment/retention activities and participates in the development, tracking and communication of key talent management metrics to drive continuous improvement.Participates in regulatory readiness efforts in regard to Human Resources standards and assists in preparation involving other standards; assists with maintaining listing of current licenses/certifications as required by regulatory bodies; attends various council meetings relevant to talent strategy and recruitment.Job Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in social science, humanities, business or related degree plus two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in full life cycle recruiting, career development, human resources;
OR
Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in Recruiting; preferably in healthcare, may be accepted in lieu of education.Full life-cycle recruiting experience required; healthcare experience preferred.At least two years of experience related to project management/leadership of Talent Acquisition initiatives specific to retention, internal recruitment, succession planning, etc.; preferred.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:High-level skills in verbal and written communication and interviewing techniques.Use of standard office equipment required; working knowledge of word processing, database management and spreadsheets highly desirable.Must be knowledgeable of health profession licensure and certification requirements, labor laws, corporate and departmental policies/procedures and personnel procedures.Ability to prioritize work and devise own work patterns/methods, be flexible to changing priorities, exercise good judgment, work effectively with students/health care professionals and a wide variety of others.Participates in long range planning for recruitment purposes, works with minimal supervision, is detail-oriented; maintains confidentiality of information, displays mature problem-solving skills.Ability to use age-appropriate communication skills.Ability to evaluate and advise others based on socioeconomic backgrounds, social and academic challenges and needs.Ability to recognize needs of varying clients and respond appropriately during interactions.Experience in healthcare recruiting.History of collaboration in making hiring decisions.Accredited by The Joint Commission and named as one of Indiana’s best employers by Forbes magazine for two consecutive years and the top hospital in the state for community benefit by the Lown Institute, Eskenazi Health’s programs have received national recognition while also offering new health care opportunities to the local community.
