The Opportunity: The Operational Excellence Director will play a critical role in driving operational excellence throughout the organization. Reporting to the Vice President/COO, this position will oversee all operational functions and support operational staff in effectively managing and leading the organization. The director will focus on various areas, including analysis, planning, execution, and communication, to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Additionally, the director will proactively stay updated on tactical and strategic operational initiatives, technological advancements, talent development, and organizational design to drive continuous improvement and innovation. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Identifies performance gaps through data, best practices, and quality methods such as lean or six-sigma. Defines and deploys end-to-end process approach that simplifies, standardizes, and automates processes through Continuous Improvement tools, such as Kaizen funnel process Ensures the effective application of problem-solving techniques from root cause analysis to the implementation and sustainability of corrective and preventive actions driving continuous improvement, operational KPIs, and centers of excellence Researches and implements new tools to aid in resolving complex process issues, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement Define key developments for the company’s ERP and LIM systems and overall strategy for transforming operations Establishes the Technical and Quality Control organization’s structure, leadership team and strategy Manages the Technical, Quality Control teams and provides the support they need to be effective Promotes organization-wide understanding, communication, and coordination of the Operational Excellence program. Oversees Quality, Safety and Technical dashboard reporting and analyzes the validity of data/reports Requirements 10+ years of experience in operations management, process improvement, or related field Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, or related discipline Proven track record of leading and executing successful process improvement initiatives Experience working within ISO 17025, ISO 9100 or ISO 9001 accredited management systems. Demonstrated ability to influence and lead change at all levels of an organization Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong project management skills Excellent communication skills Ability to travel
