Aleto Inc. is seeking to hire a Space Planner to provide support for space planning, design, and related analytical services to the client's managed lease or owned space to create usable areas. Work includes significant project management responsibility. Expert knowledge of the function and responsibility for the development of work plans or implementation strategic direction; discerns priorities in conjunction with the COR, program/project manager, and the accounts director - assists in the development of the day-to-day tactical plan for the project or team. Ensures accomplishment of projects as assigned by the program/project manager and client. This position will be Hybrid with Onsite requirements of 30-40% of the time at the Washington D.C. Agency HQ.Space Planner - Essential Job Duties

Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Conduct reviews of all client space assignments to verify effective space utilization and identify the requirements and opportunities for changes.Assist with the development of interior projects to contribute to the client's brand and workplace innovation strategy.Coordinate with other client personnel and external vendors/contractors to ensure space documentation and data is accurate, conform to client’s design/software standards.Document the work and data flow processes.Responsible for various aspects of project planning to include design, construction, furniture, moves, and post-occupancy.Lead government agency furniture programs, including but not limited to procurement advisory services, furniture standards development, and ad hoc furniture project management.Prepare and maintain As-Built Drawings to track all portfolio space verifying USF and Rentable Square Foot (RSF).Update the record drawings (XRef files in IWMS) for all client space and drawing templates using AutoCAD software.Perform regularly scheduled site walks to validate as-built information and identify any change to space configuration.Develop evaluations of requests for space assignments, determine the necessity for and urgency of requests, analyze personnel and equipment needs, and determine space assignment and maximum utilization, possible reassignment, rearrangement, etc.Participate in meetings as required for project coordination with Architecture, AV/IT, Construction, etc.Qualifications

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.Must be able to pass a background check and obtain HSPD-12 public trust credentials (US citizenship required).Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design.5+ years of related experience in delivering Architecture or Engineering professional services.Expert knowledge of commercial and government office space planning, including GSA space assignment policy and BOMA space standards.Expert knowledge of AutoCAD to efficiently use and manipulate drawings.Ability to read and understand construction documents and blueprints.Ability to understand and apply OSHA and ADA requirements, and all building and safety codes.Working knowledge of LEED criteria.If you have questions or need additional assistance please contact us at talent@aletoconsulting.com
