a highly motivated and organized candidate for

a

Manager

,

Technical

Accounting

position. The successful candidate will

have public accounting and SEC reporting experience,

superior

communications,

and

detail-oriented organizational skills. This role reports to

the Director of Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting

.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist in and lead the evaluation of the accounting treatment for significant transactions. Research applicable GAAP disclosure requirements for proposed transactions.Review contracts to identify technical accounting matters and prepare analysis and memorandums.Perform and manage the monthly consolidation process.Prepare financial information and disclosures for financial statements in accordance with GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.Assist in the external audit and review process by providing audit support and relevant schedules.Prepare balance sheet analysis and record journal entries, as well as related balance sheet reconciliation for technical financial statement line items.Review financial data for accuracy, identify problems and support day-to-day operations.Ability to research and reconcile discrepancies and verifying documents in accordance with accounting procedures and policies.Work closely with project teams to provide support and ensure technical guidance is followed.Assist with implementation of and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 key controls and processes.Proactively work on initiatives to implement operational accounting efficiencies through process improvements and control enhancements.Other duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned.REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:BA/BS in Accounting or Finance, CPA desired (or pathway to become a CPA)6+ years of experience in accounting, with experience in public accounting or at a public company highly preferred.Knowledge of GAAP, SEC and SOX practices and processes.Excelled written and oral communication skills, as well as a strong attention to detail.Proficient with Microsoft Excel.Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while adapting quickly to maintain deadlines.
