Job Description: The Demand Planning Manager will be instrumental in delivering a consensus demand plan for the cluster, in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Finance resources. Strong stakeholder management will be needed to bring the business Intelligence from all markets within the cluster to a consolidated view. It will be critical to deliver results via a coordinated strategy on Associate Capability, Standard Work Processes, and optimized data and analytics. As this role is part of a newly defined set-up of functional leadership within the market, they play a key role in ensuring all stakeholders are engaged and understand the scope and pace of the change, but also are ready to embrace the change in the everyday operation.

What are we looking for?

About 5 years of supply chain leadership experience, with experience in demand planning processes. Operational experience in people leadership and building capability in a complex business. Digitally savvy and strong learning agility with process and systems – experience with Mars existing systems landscape would be an advantage. Ability to communicate comfortably with Senior Leadership at a Market/Cluster and Regional level. Ability to generate enthusiasm and organizational buy-in behind change programs.

What will be your key responsibilities? Deliver a strong Demand Planning program for the cluster. Own the consensus forecast in the market/cluster, in periods for the full horizon (up to 39 periods). Represent the Demand planning function at DMR, presenting the total cluster plan and working in partnership with the relevant Sales Director(s) in the cluster. Ensure proper aggregation of market demand needs into a cluster plan, considering any differences in systems. Lead a Performance focus program for Demand KPI in the cluster (Bias, SFA, Demand Driven Deletions), accountable for presenting results and action plans to cluster and regional planning leadership forums. Drive standard work processes with building blocks and identification of Risks & Opportunities, including clear rules-of-engagement on Scenario Planning process. Assess trends, risks and opportunities together with Sales, Marketing and Finance. Ensure strong process collaboration with Supply Planning team with respect to forecast consumption during the cycle or any short-term forecast issues. Have solid process and governance for Demand Planning responsibilities for Innovation/Renovation programs in the cluster, driving rigor in the ATG-related building blocks and forecast change requirements. Lead team of Demand Planners in the cluster. Build associate capability that is in-line with Target Operating Model, seeking to leverage and improve on Supply Chain School materials, i.e. Demand Planning College. Ensure each demand planning associate has a clearly defined work-plan that outlines both the ‘WHAT’ for work to be done (i.e. statistical forecast; business intelligence), as well as the ‘HOW’ (i.e. data validation, KPI analysis, collaboration). Use own functional knowledge to coach direct reports on detailed tasks, and where necessary, provide executional cover during extraordinary peak workloads. Engage with regional resources on standard dashboard and reporting analytics, collaborating on continuous improvement projects. Seek continuous improvement and Value Creation opportunities for your department and for the cluster. Ensure projects and improvements are supported and incorporated into the department’s standard work processes, i.e. Innovation/Renovations, System update/upgrades.
