· To set up and operate an injection molding machine to make rubber panels within specifications.
· To set up and operate waterjet production machines to make products within specifications.
· To set up and operate CNC routing machines to make products within specifications.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
· Reviews work order and checks that correct raw materials are being used.
· Ability to set up and operate all machines according to work order and engineering specifications.
· Performs die and/or mold changes ensuring accordance to setup procedures.
· Full understanding of quality standard, E00018. Can teach new operators.
· Acts as backup to team leader in their absence.
· Operates machine ensuring downtime is minimized.
· Physically remove panel from machine and load machine. Cut, trim off flash and finish panel to quality standards.
· Must have complete working knowledge of all machines in the department.
· Responsible for the proper labeling and scanning of completed panels according to procedure.
· Tooling inspections to look for damage that could cause Quality or performance issues.
· Places scrapped product in scrap cart. Report scrap to ERP system.
· Monitors worker and machine performance and adjusts as necessary to meet production goals.
· Maintains good housekeeping, 5s and safety practices in work area.
· Performs related duties as required.
· Reports labor and material usage to ERP system.
Necessary Abilities/Skills/Certifications:
Read blueprints
Calculate measurements
Use of basic shop tools
CNC Machining basics
Minimum Education and Work Experience Required:
High school or GED diploma
2-3 years work experience with injection molding machinery
2-3 years work experience or college degree with CNC machinery recommended.
