To assist supervision in the efficient operation of the Bolt Down Rubber Department.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

· Drives the day to day activities of the Bolt Down Rubber Department through effective scheduling, planning, and leadership as required.

· Assists in the daily scheduling of jobs to ensure efficient production.

· Monitors hourly production on every machine. Applies countermeasures to adjust for quality and productivity issues.

· Trains employees on efficient operations within the department.

· Fills in on all jobs within department. Runs machine as required.

· Performs set ups, handles quality and processing issues.

· Troubleshoots and completes processing of job to ensure good quality and throughput.

· Monitors the department’s machining, materials and tooling needs.

· Maintains 5s standards and safety practices in work area. Conducts team safety meetings as required at the beginning of the shift.

· Responsible for the nesting of cut panels on waterjet and router.

· Works closely with Purchasing Manager to determine material needs.

· Responsible for key metric attainment as determined by management.

· Completes all necessary paperwork and postings.

· Performs related duties as required.

Ability to run Master CAM and SolidWorks softwareAbility to program machinesRead blueprints and calculate measurementsTraining conceptsFork lift certificationEffective reading comprehension and communication skills, oral and writtenMicrosoft Office programsMinimum Education and Work Experience Required:

Minimum two-year technical degreeHigh school or GED diploma5 years work experience with CNC machineryUnderstands English to properly respond to quality questions
