Work as part of a culinary team in a fast-paced environment where quality and standards exceed guest expectations.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Promotes superior guest service.Maintains and perpetuates a positive organizational culture according to the principles of the Spirit of Tâlícn and the Core Values of ilani.Consistently demonstrates collaborative, relationship-building, welcoming, and mutually respectful behaviors.Quick and quality execution of cooking duties.Prepares the kitchen for the arrival of the chefs.Assists in preparing ingredients beforehand; cleaning foodstuffs, chopping, slicing, and portioning.Monitors stock of the kitchen and reports to the head chef as stock runs low.Clean all kitchen equipment before and after use.Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen.Cooks dishes under the supervision of the chef.Coordinates with other kitchen staff.Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:Two years of experience as a line cook in a high-volume restaurant.Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.Attention to detail and ability to multitask.Knowledge of kitchen tools and utensils is required to perform the specific tasks and requirements.Works well under pressure and possesses good learning skills.Excellent communication skills – the kitchen staff works mainly under pressure, so conveying messages clearly, concisely, and politely is essential for good collaboration and perfect overall results.Great endurance – most of the prep cook work is done standing, moving their arms, and lifting and carrying at least 40 lbs.Must possess a valid food handler's license.Must be willing to work in a smoking environment.Must be willing to adhere to company health and safety measures.Preferred Qualifications:Culinary school certificate.Work Shift:Any (United States of America) Regular
