The General Superintendent primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage all electrical construction activities on a project. You will provide leadership, guidance, and technical expertise to electrical superintendents, foremen, and crews to ensure the successful execution of electrical installations.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProject Management:

Oversee and manage multiple electrical construction projects simultaneously. Collaborate with project managers to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets. Monitor progress, ensure adherence to timelines, and manage project resources effectively.Team Leadership:

Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to electrical superintendents, foremen, and crews. Assign responsibilities, monitor performance, and foster a collaborative and productive work environment. Support professional development and training of team members.Resource Coordination:

Coordinate and allocate resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, across multiple projects. Optimize resource utilization, manage subcontractors, and ensure efficient execution of electrical installations.Safety Compliance:

Promote and enforce a strong culture of safety. Implement and monitor safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and audits.Quality Control:

Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure that electrical installations meet project specifications, codes, and industry standards. Conduct regular inspections, oversee testing and commissioning activities, and address any deficiencies or deviations promptly.Project Coordination:

Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to ensure effective coordination of electrical activities with the overall project schedule. Communicate and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise, ensuring smooth workflow and successful project delivery.Client Communication:

Interface with clients, project managers, and stakeholders to provide updates on project status, address concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction. Maintain effective communication channels to facilitate project coordination and resolve issues promptly.Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of project progress, material usage, labor hours, and safety incidents. Prepare and submit reports, including progress reports, safety reports, and project documentation, to project managers and stakeholders.Code and Regulatory Compliance:

Stay updated with electrical codes, regulations, and industry best practices. Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, regulations, and standards in all electrical installations. Liaise with inspectors and authorities having jurisdiction as necessary.Continuous Improvement:

Identify areas for process improvement, efficiency gains, and cost savings. Stay abreast of advancements in electrical technologies, construction methods, and industry trends. Implement best practices and share knowledge within the organization.Position RequirementsPosition requires extended hours, which will vary depending on job and site requirements. Each job will require their own specific hours of operation.May need to work weekends if business needs requireRegular attendance is a necessary and essential functionPhysical & Cognitive RequirementsAble to lift up to 60lbs. regularlyMust be able to traverse in all weather conditions and work in extreme temperaturesPosition requires the ability to stand, squat, & reachMust be able to stand and walk continuously through shiftMust be able to climb stairs and laddersAbility to exercise precaution in the handling of tools and equipmentMay be exposed to dust, fumes, and odoriferous working conditionsCrouch, kneel, bend, or stand for long periods of timeBe subject to motor or machine noiseRegular attendance is a necessary and essential functionSkills and QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.Relevant certification as an electrician or electrical technician.Proven experience as an Electrical General Superintendent or in a similar leadership role in the construction industry.5+ years of experience in field construction managementKnowledge / Skills / AbilitiesFamiliarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.Experience with electrical testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical design drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, control systems, and equipment.Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.Excellent leadership, team management, and organizational skills.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced construction environment.Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.Knowledge of construction practices and safety protocols.Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.Knowledge of procurement and subcontractor management.Understanding of construction industry regulations and best practices.Commensurate with experience, paid weekly.
