GIS Consultant - Logistics and Supply Chain

In this position, you will work closely with clients in helping to define geospatial-centric solutions and implementation of those solutions. You will solve complex geospatial problems by evaluating and translating the customer's business goals, objectives, and strategies.The Logistics and Supply Chain practice focuses on applying a geographic approach to help organizations improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their supply chain. The contributions you support within our Logistics and Supply Chain Practice will enable our customers, across many industries, to meet their objectives in various areas such as sustainability and corporate responsibility, regulatory compliance, supplier management, and transportation and logistics. Through the use of ArcGIS technology, you will apply the lens of space, distance, and time to the supply chain, providing insights through the mapping and visualization of the as-is supply chain, enriching it with contextual and operating data, identifying opportunities, and analyzing risks. You will provide a digital landscape to model and simulate alternatives to improve decision-making.The team you will work with is collaborative and forward-leaning. Help clients translate real-world needs into practical, state-of-the-art solutionsRecommend relevant strategies, architectures, and solutions for customer requirements and work with customers to prepare implementations, change management, and migration activitiesManage projects and support customers throughout the entire project life-cycle, including requirements, analysis, design, build, and implementationLead the scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables through planning, tracking, quality assurance, change control, and risk managementEstablish, develop, and expand relationships with customers, partners, and distributorsWork with Esri’s marketing and sales teams to develop new businessLead innovative proposals and win work that showcases forward-leaning solutionsMitigate challenges through proper escalation to achieve project and program completionCollaborate with Esri’s practice managers and marketing and sales teams to support business development for technology and implementation patterns with new and existing customersSupport the development of others through our network of organizational teams and professional communitiesRequirements
5+ years of professional experience in a similar position, supporting similar responsibilitiesProfessional experience supporting at least one of the business domains as part of global supply chains:
Demand Forecasting and PlanningSourcing/ProcurementSustainability | ESGTransportation and Logistics (Distribution)Supply Chain Optimization (Cost, Technology, Disruption, etc.)
Professional experience supporting the design, implementation, and administration of enterprise geospatial technology (ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and/or ArcGIS Platform)Demonstrate understanding of how mapping and spatial analysis can help support design and the development of efficient supply chain networksDemonstrated ability to translate a customer's business goals, objectives, and strategies into solutionsAbility to develop project designs, work plans, budgets, and schedulesExceptional interpersonal, written/verbal communication, multi-tasking, and presentation skillsBachelor's in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), geography, supply chain management, computer science, or a related fieldRecommended Qualifications
