Position Summary:
The Director of Corporate FP&A is responsible for supporting global business expansion with complex ad-hoc analysis and reporting. He/she will be responsible for overseeing annual planning cycles including the Annual Operating Plan (AOP/Budget), monthly and quarterly forecast processes, and the long-term strategic plan. He/she will work closely with the CEO and CFO by providing analytical support for strategic projects, such as M&A, S&OP as well as performing other ad-hoc analysis as needed. He/she will assist in developing metrics and financial reporting to monitor trends and performance to enable DESTACO to achieve its strategic objectives while also meeting or exceeding corporate metrics.
The Director of Corporate FP&A reports to the CFO, who is a member of DESTACO’s executive leadership team. The position can be located in Auburn Hills, MI or Wheeling, IL. It requires some travel (up to 15% international and US). The position is an integral part of the DESTACO finance team and requires effective communication, cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization to be successful and drive business results. In addition to being a strategic advisor within DESTACO, this is a critical role for providing timely and accurate information to the Stabilus Group.

Job Requirements:
Finance partner to senior company leadership in key financial processes and reporting, including planning and forecast models and templates. Manage completion of the plan and business review presentations for President/CFO.
Champions Stabilus processes and requirements (Annual Plan, Strategic Plan, Quarterly templates, forecasting) and net working capital improvements.
Assists with business intelligence, creating and managing scorecard, working pro-actively and cross-functionally to understand business data needs and opportunities, illuminating product line/customer/geography profitability and trends, investigating trends to turn data into actionable information.
Work closely with the CFO to effectively manage forward looking financials (forecasts, budgets, what-if, etc.). Responsible for the reporting and analysis of monthly and quarterly forecast, annual budget, and strategic operating plan.
Produce and review key financial metrics including sales growth, earnings growth, operating margin, working capital percent, free cash flow, capex, days sales outstanding, inventory turns, and day purchases outstanding.
Proactively monitor, bring awareness to risks and opportunities, and provide solutions to the Leadership Team to influence timely business decisions making.
Closely evaluate financial variances and report findings to Leadership Team offering ideas, insights and/or highlighting business concerns based on financial expertise.
Supports the expansion of the business through M&A evaluation and due diligence, organic expansion, country and regional market analysis. Perform financial due diligence including modeling and management presentations.
Manage capital expense forecasts and track approval requests. Follow up with operations and finance teams to validate return on investment.
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in financial management including manufacturing environment experience.
Experience in a Corporate FP&A role and playing a leadership role in the budget planning process/cycle.
Proficient in working in an ERP system (Oracle preferred).
Demonstrates sound analytical depth.
Experience with Microsoft Office products.
Possess excellent organization, analytical and financial modeling skills.
Experience implementing best practices and strategic initiatives.
Be skilled in ability to effectively communicate accounting and financial information and able to influence at all levels of an organization.
Sense of urgency in their delivery and flexibility in terms of their style and approach.
Experience in a global environment a plus.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Analytical thinker with a drive to create innovative solutions to drive results.
Ability to collaborate and build relationships at all levels and across functions.
Strong executive presence with an ability to influence decisions with objective facts.

Education and Certification Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
MBA a plus.
Travel Requirements:
Ability to travel up to 15% of the time including US and internationally.
