)General Summary/OverviewThe Ivers Research Lab at Massachusetts General Hospital in the Center for Global Health is seeking a Research Assistant with a data analysis focus to support global public health research and scholarly activities.The Ivers lab focuses on research addressing barriers to health inequities, including epidemiology, public health, and observational and intervention research in Haiti and sub-Saharan Africa. We have a focus on diarrheal diseases, infectious diseases, and social determinants of ill-health such as food and water insecurity. Projects range from population-level studies to field epidemiology.The position offers an exceptional opportunity for growth with access to world-class resources, a terrific work environment, and the opportunity to travel. The successful candidate will work closely with a project manager and the principal investigator.This is a 2-year funded position with potential for renewal.Principle Duties and ResponsibilitiesCollects & organizes data, maintains records and databasesUses software programs to clean data, generates graphs, and reportsConduct preliminary data analysis and report summary of results with guidance from the PIConducts library searchesVerifies accuracy of study forms, Updates study forms per protocolAssists with regulatory binders and QA/QC proceduresAssists with study regulatory submissionsWrites consent formsAssist with the creation of and/or training on project-specific data collection systemsSupports preparation of IRB documentsLiaise with local and international partner organizations to provide program support.Performs administrative support duties as requiredQualificationsA cover letter and CV are required. Applications without both a cover letter and a CV will not be considered.Bachelor's degree required. M.Sc. in life sciences field with a quantitative major; epidemiology or biostats is an added advantageDedicated to excellence and scientific accuracyDetail-oriented and highly motivated to produce top-quality workA proven ability to work both collaboratively and independentlyWorking knowledge of data management programProficiency with standard office software, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and standard internet application Familiarity with other software packages, or ability to learn new ones, such as Stata, SAS, R, Redcap, NVIVO, or Microsoft Access is a plusDemonstrated interest in health equity and social justice preferred.Previous experience with epidemiological data analysisQualificationsA cover letter and CV are required.
