Description
This NP
will provide assistance to clinical faculty and staff. The NP will be able to
change treatment for patients after their clinical observations and appointments. In
addition to duties previously mentioned, the NP will also be responsible for providing and
coordinating the care of patients, and providing education to patient/families in order to
ensure there is a continuity of care.The NP functions in an interdependent role by implementing the appropriate Standardized Procedures (SPs). By using the SPs the NP is able to change treatment regimen after observing signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to treatment, general behavior and physical condition and determines if they are abnormal findings (Ca Nursing Practice Act, subsection(b) of Section 2725). The NP will provide and coordinate the care of patients, provide patient/family education,
promote safe continuity of care. The NP also participates in interdisciplinary and clinical rounds, provides education and support, as well as makes appropriate referrals and documents services rendered.
*This is a limited 3 month appointment. A limited appointment may convert to career.Salary range : $84.82- $121.13/hourlyQualifications
1.MSN degree with a NP specialty in either Adult Acute Care (AG-ACNP), or Adult Primary Care NP or FNP Specialty- requiredCA RN and CA NP license -required.National Certification in NP Specialty-requiredPrevious NP experience -requiredPrevious Endocrine experience -preferredBLS from ARC or AHA- requiredState of California NP, State of CA NP Furnishingwith Schedule II, National Certification (i.e. ANCC)NPI #, DEA #,Enrollment in PECOS, Enrollment in CURESAbility to utilize excel, word and other software programs-requiredAbility to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with administrative, clinical and academic personnel-requiredSkill in working independently and following through with minimum direction-requiredAbility to set priorities-requiredDemonstrate writing skills to compose logical, detailed and grammatically correct correspondence-requiredDocument patient care in a concise and comprehensive manner-required
