Manage and oversee budgets, ensuring alignment with CSU, SDSU, and International Affairs policies.Administrative Oversight:

Ensure timely and accurate completion of all academic and financial forms while maintaining policy compliance.Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work with teams across International Affairs, Academic Affairs, Procure to Pay, and Global Campus to support program success.Data Analysis & Reporting:

Analyze program data, prepare reports, and recommend improvements.Team Representation:

This unit serves as SDSU's central source of information and support services for faculty engagement, incoming students, and outgoing students on study abroad programs, and passport services. International Affairs works with all areas of the university to identify and meet the unique needs of its constituencies and to provide opportunities for all members of the campus community to develop effective skills and perspectives for global citizenship and leadership.For more information regarding the International Affairs Department, click here .Education and ExperienceEntry to this classification requires general knowledge and skills in the applicable administrative and/or program field with a foundational knowledge of public administration principles, practices, and methods. This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelor's degree and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.Key QualificationsExpertise in public and business administration, operational and fiscal management.Skilled in handling complex programs and administrative specialties.Able to independently manage projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.Experience with budgetary practices, purchasing, report production, and reconciliation using systems like Oracle.Proficient in maintaining budgets, spreadsheets, and databases.Knowledgeable in research methods and statistical analysis for data-driven insights.Capable of analyzing problems, developing solutions, and evaluating their effectiveness.Ability to apply policies related to study abroad programs, procurement, and travel claims.Experience with financial record keeping and using Excel or Google Sheets for budgeting and projections is preferred.Minimum of three years in program and budget management preferred.Compensation and BenefitsStarting salary upon appointment is not expected to exceed $4,888 per month.Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.San Diego State University offers a rich benefits package that constitutes a major portion of total compensation.
