Job Summary:The Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Maintenance Lead is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of all ground service equipment used by the company. This role ensures that all GSE is functioning optimally and safely, minimizing downtime, and supporting efficient ground operations. This position will perform routine maintenance tasks, troubleshoot issues, and work closely with other subcontracts and team members to ensure the reliability and safety of all ground service equipment at all of our Hawaiian island sites (Kona, Maui, Lihue & Oahu), through an optimized combination of self-performed work and management of sub-contracted service providers.
Pay Range:$70,000 - $85,000 DOE

Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintenance and Repair:
Perform regular inspections of ground service equipment.
Conduct routine maintenance and servicing of equipment.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
Equipment Monitoring & Reporting:
Monitor equipment performance and report any irregularities to operations managers and corporate.
Maintain records of maintenance and repair activities.
Ensure all equipment meets safety and operational standards.
Participate in regular meetings with operations teams and corporate.
Troubleshooting:
Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and failures.
Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to resolve issues.
Coordinate with other technicians and departments for complex repairs.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to safety regulations and company policies during maintenance activities.
Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Report safety concerns and implement corrective actions.
Inventory Management:
Manage inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
Ensure timely ordering and replenishment of parts.
Maintain an organized and efficient workspace.
Participate in inspection and evaluation of new equipment purchased.
Vendor Management:
Identify GSE mechanic sub-contractors at each station.
Manage GSE mechanic sub-contractors work to ensure cost efficient and timely delivery.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technological advancements.
Provide recommendations for improving equipment reliability and efficiency.
Participate in training and development programs.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certification or diploma in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in equipment maintenance or a related field.
Previous experience with ground service equipment is highly desirable.
Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
Proficient in using diagnostic tools and maintenance equipment.
Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Must have the right to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
Standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
Working in various weather conditions.
Airport or transportation facility setting.
Exposure to loud noises, hazardous materials, and machinery.
