The team

The Sr. Financial Reporting Manager will be responsible for the oversight and distribution of financial statements to regulators and will ensure that all transactions and documentation complies with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), regulatory statutes and SEC requirements as needed.

The opportunity
  • Oversee the preparation of the financial reporting process, including statements and footnotes
  • Manage the preparation of various sections in SEC filings such as the 10Ks, 10Qs, 8Ks, private placement memorandums or S-1's
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the compliance team regarding regulatory inquiries and examinations
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations and coordinate the entity annual audits with the independent auditors
  • Actively research and stay abreast of current and evolving accounting standards and SEC regulations
  • Develop and implement regulatory reporting processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls over regulatory financial reporting
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, finance and data operations teams to gather necessary information and complete additional duties and responsibilities as required
Skills you should HODL
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Big 4 Accounting or similar experience and at least 5 years of corporate experience with SEC disclosure and reporting requirements
  • Experience with Workiva
  • Strong technical U.S. GAAP accounting knowledge and technical accounting ability
  • Detail-oriented and can spot errors and discrepancies in financial data quickly and accurately
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly written
  • Ability to manage many different priorities at once
  • Experience with SOX 404 compliance and knowledge of best practices in internal controls
Nice to haves
  • ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP or Netsuite knowledge preferred
