The team

We are searching for a Director, People Operations who is dedicated to leading and driving the development of a world class, collaborative, analytical and people centric HR operations team.

The People Operations team's focus is providing exceptional service, experiences and solutions to our Krakenites through Service Desk, our General HR team and Onboarding team. As Kraken continues to expand Internationally, the team is leading efforts on our global workforce strategy in line with growth plans and business needs.

The opportunity
  • Lead of team of exceptional KX Operations talent
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on global HR operations and provide regular updates on key initiatives and KPI metrics
  • Analyze, propose, drive, and iterate on our global workforce strategy in line with Company priorities
  • Own, enhance, and manage a best in class team to deliver exceptional customer service, experiences and support to all Krakenites via our HR Service Desk, HR Generalist teams and onboarding team
  • Establish and maintain processes and practices that adhere to globally compliant standards in how we operate
  • Develop procedures to mitigate risks and ensure data integrity and security
  • Drive HR Ops Projects and Initiatives to ensure streamlined operations that also yield insightful people data
  • Partner with Security, Finance, Compliance, and Legal to create compliant HR processes and adherence to policies and practices globally
  • Reflect on our culture, values and operating principles in all that we deliver to the organization


Skills you should HODL
  • 10+ years human resources experience with at least 5 years overseeing people operations, ideally at a technology company, startup, or high growth company that has globally distributed, work-from-home teams, as well as international offices of various sizes
  • Experience scaling a global HR Operations department preferred
  • Strong knowledge of state, federal, and international employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Worked with alternate workforces on a regular basis, including consultants, agency staff, PEOs/ EORs, and other structures
  • Exceptional ability to manage multiple critical priorities and projects while maintaining attention to detail and a positive attitude.
  • Highly adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-changing, and ambiguous environment.
  • Flexible, open-minded, and innovative in developing and maintaining HR protocols
  • Deep commitment to enhancing the 'people experience' in all aspects of HR
  • Highly tech-savvy with a strong appreciation for privacy, security, and crypto values
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of effective team management
