Position Overview

As a

Supplier Quality Engineer , your roles and responsibilities will include:

Evaluate contract proposals translating customer, regulatory, and code requirements into supplier internal use instructions.Execute supplier oversight activities. This may include surveillance activities, commercial grade surveys, and audits.Implement risk mitigation toolkits with suppliers like FMEA and Control Plans.Evaluate suppliers to take appropriate corrective/preventive actions by performing data analysis.Oversee critical processes to ensure product quality.Ensure that supplier requirements are met.Interface with suppliers and customers, both internal and external.Support supplier development and the resolution of technical issues with suppliers.Support quality compliance with documented procedures for functional responsibility.Be active in the planning and implementing quality assurance programs on customer orders. Actions may include:Supplier qualification evaluation and selectionCreation of inspection plans, measurement methods, and recording formsImplementing Quality Assurance systems, methods, and proceduresUsing statistical methods to evaluate process capabilitiesReview and approve drawings, routings, requisitions, specifications, procedures, supplier certifications, quality inspection plans, and similar documents.Provide technical support to inspectors and operators.Review, evaluate, and respond to customer and supplier correspondence.Participate in the preparation and maintenance of quality program manuals and procedures.Develop and implement quality improvement programs, with the goal of designing and re-engineering quality techniques and processes that will impact cost, time, and quality objectives.Assist other departments as necessary in establishing standards relative to ensuring product quality.Participate in internal audits.Ability to be a self-starter, work independently, and drive actions to completion.Qualifications

US Sole Citizen and able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearanceBS in an Engineering or related discipline5+ years of experience in a relevant fieldNuclear Power Industry or Navy Nuclear or other regulated Industries (e.g., aerospace, transportation, biotech, etc.)Lead Auditor certificationSix Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt / Master Black Belt certificationsASQ CertificationsWe understand that even if you are a seasoned
