Based in Anchorage, this facility is located in a thriving community offering plenty of opportunities to capitalize on the Alaskan lifestyle.As a highly-skilled and compassionate Cath-Lab Technologist, you will aid with all invasive cardiac, vascular, and interventional procedures. You will demonstrate clinical competency, nursing judgment, teaching skills, and a commitment to providing quality patient care. In this role:You will be responsible for all testing and therapeutics that take place in the Cath lab. These procedures include but are not limited to: cardiac catheterizations and/or coronary interventions, EP device and ablation therapies, interventional radiology, neuro diagnostic/interventions, endovascular procedures, and structural Heart (LAAC, TAVR) procedures.You will facilitate effective communication among departmental staff to ensure an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to patient care, using the appropriate SBAR process for hand-off communication.You will assist the patient through all aspects of the procedure, including transport, site preparation, sterile procedure, patient monitoring, and hemostasis following removal of catheter or sheath, and return to room. You will manage emergent cases.You will maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient records and complete all paperwork associated with these procedures, preparing tests for physician interpretation.You will demonstrate an ability to be flexible, organized, and function well under stressful situations.You will collaborate with fellow members of the team and orient as needed.Qualifications:American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and CertificationAmerican Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified (ACLS) within six months of hireRegistered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), or Registered Radiographer (ARRT)Must have experience – ARRT/RCIS certification preferredOpen to reviewing CVOR/CST with strong Vascular/IR experienceExperience scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating required4 years Cath/IR experience strongly preferredNo mapping experience needed (performed by 3rd party company)Unit Beds/rooms: 3 rooms, average 4-6 procedures per daySCHEDULE:Full-Time – 12 Hour Shifts – /Weekend/HolidayShift times: 7a – 7:30p (12 hr shifts)COMPENSATION:$38.48
