ProBio’s total cell and gene therapy solution covers CMC of plasmid and virus for IND filing as well as clinical manufacturing and commercial manufacturing.Job Scope:GenScript ProBio is seeking a corporate Legal Counsel to take a leadership role in developing and implementing global legal and regulatory strategies and managing day-to-day legal needs. This role will be based onsite in Piscataway, NJ.Job Responsibilities:Providing legal advice to assigned business partners on a broad range of topics.Staying up to date in regard to legal and regulatory developments that may impact our business, and formulating and implementing strategies in risk mitigation.Working and communicating with customers, collaborators, vendors/suppliers, and other external strategic partners in connection with our businesses.Managing the use of outside legal counsel globally.Other duties as assigned.Job Requirements:A successful candidate should have good communications, problem-solving, and analytical thinking abilities.Juris Doctorate (JD) and admission to practice in a U.S. state or territory of the District of Columbia, and 5+ years of combined experience at in-house and law firm.Expertise in commercial transactions, especially in sales and service agreements highly preferred.Familiarity with IP-related transactions, e.g., license agreements, a plus; experience with the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries desired.A client-centric mentality and ability to work collaboratively with and skillfully influence internal clients and stakeholders.Ability to independently oversee legal matters and manage outside counsel.Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple matters, and see projects through to conclusion.
