We believe that face-to-face interactions are paramount for individual and collective development, but also encourage individuals to work with their supervisor and team to determine their optimal working environment each day.Your role.Your work will include, but not be limited to:Technical ResponsibilitiesPerform all phases of an audit, including planning and risk identification, internal control review and testing, substantive audit procedures, engagement wrap up, and financial statement preparation/reviewPerform other attest services including compilations and reviewsResearch and conclude on various accounting and audit issues in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)Generate ideas for accounting process improvements and best practices for our clientsOpportunities for fellowships in other service groups, for example, management consulting, transaction due diligence, and forensic accountingRelationship Building and Staff DevelopmentParticipate in internal and external networking events, including client meetings, industry events, etc.Contribute to business expansion efforts, including proposal development and sales callsSupervise and develop a team of 1-2 associates on each engagementImmediate opportunity to work directly with Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners internally, and Accounting Managers, Controllers, and C-Suite individuals externallyFirm ContributionsParticipate in annual CORE training program which focuses on development of core competencies to facilitate your growth at the firmOpportunities to be involved in various non-billable initiatives, including on and off-campus recruiting, internal training facilitation, buddy system/mentoring program, development of thought leadership content, etc.The qualifications.2-5 years recent experience in public accountingSuccessful completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in AccountingCPA preferredQualified individuals must either reside in or near the Chicago, Illinois area or be willing to relocate to the area for this opportunity. Client travel throughout the region, with some overnight stays may be required.
