Position Summary :
As a
Senior Data Scientist
in the
Retrieval team
, you will
develop and deploy
large-scale machine learning models based on
cutting-edge NLP techniques ,
including
embedding-based retrieval (vector search), multilingual language models, document expansion via generative models, and LLMs.
Your work will be visible to millions of customers, and you will have a direct impact on the goals of the Fortune #1 enterprise.
What you'll do:Train and deploy large-scale ML models to improve relevance and engagement of search results.Collect and process data for model training.Conduct A/B tests and data analysis to evaluate the performance of ML models.Stay current on the latest research regarding machine learning and AI and share these findings with the team.
What you'll bring:Ph.D. or M.S. with 2+ years of experience, in a quantitative field like Computer Science.Expertise in
machine learning, NLP, information retrieval, ranking, or recommendation systems.Experience with
deep learning libraries like PyTorch or TensorFlow.Strong hands-on development experience with at least one programming language ( Python or Java
preferred).Experience with Big Data technologies like
Spark, Hive, Hadoop.Track record of publishing papers in conferences (like KDD, SIGIR, WWW) is a plus.Minimum Qualifications:Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 3 years' experience in an analytics related field.Option 2: Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 1 year of experience in an analytics related field.Option 3: 5 years' experience in an analytics or related field.Primary Location:680 West California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086-4834, United States of America.
