Aquatics / Technology / Tourism / WaterparksDirector of Maintenance - Wet'n'Wild HawaiiKapolei, Hawaii, United StatesPremier Parks has an opening for a Director of Maintenance at our Wet'n'Wild Hawaii location on the beautiful island of Oahu!Position OverviewThe position of Director of Maintenance is responsible for the successful operation of the Maintenance and Facilities Departments. This includes leading the following teams: Maintenance, CPO, Landscape, Pressure Washing. A successful candidate is actively engaged in preventative and routine maintenance and repairs of the park’s facilities, structures, and buildings. The Director of Maintenance will need to maintain a high level of cleanliness, and engage, as needed in capital projects. This person has a high level of knowledge in Pool Filtration systems, water chemistry, use of tools, basic mechanical knowledge, and intuition for repairing items found in a waterpark. This position is ideal for someone who considers themselves a “life-long learner” and is constantly seeking to further their knowledge. This is all done while maintaining the highest safety and guest service standards on all water attractions and in the general park to foster a fun, safety-conscious environment.RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily.REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS, AND SKILLS:Education:
High School diploma or equivalent is required. College degree preferred.Experience:Minimum 5 years Water Park/Theme Park Maintenance or other relevant field.Knowledge of present successful aquatic industry trends and programs.Proven experience in creating a positive work environment and improving employee morale.Certification/Licensure:Must possess a valid driver’s license.Must possess a CPO/AFO Certification or the willingness to achieve certification within 1 month of hire.Working Conditions:Must be well organized and flexible to meet time, priority and workload demands.Must be able to work independently.Ability to troubleshoot situations without delay and act accordingly.Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, evolving environment.Must be able to work varied shifts; including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Special Skills:Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Positive and effective customer service skills.Ability to troubleshoot and think quickly in critical situations.Strong interpersonal skills and customer service perspectives.Proficient in safe operation and knowledgeable of power tools.Work well with people, including children and adults.Accuracy, thoroughness, and self-monitoring to ensure quality work.Must be able to swim, tread water, and dive to the bottom of pools and filtration tanks.Motivated self-starter.Must be a minimum of 21 years old.Physical Demands of the Job:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and read, talk, and hear.The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, push, pull, crouch or crawl.The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance.The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to twenty-five pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to one hundred pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.The employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. This may include hot temperatures that exceed 90 degrees as well as high levels of humidity.The noise level is generally moderate to high.
