The QC Technician will assist the Quality function in maintaining all procedures for ISO-9001 certification. This position is primarily responsible for inspection of final product for acceptance. This person must be accountable for accuracy with ensuring products meet drawing specifications and process routing requirements.

Responsibilities

Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspection testing.Report results to manufacturing through proper tagging and other communication methods.Maintain quality records related to all testing.Perform data entry of test and inspection results in computer database. Accuracy of documentation on quality records.Read/interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing routing instructions. Measure and confirm product meets the defined specifications.Issue and close out non-conformance notices related to product not meeting specification.Use various quality gauges in measurement of product standards.Handling of return material authorizations.Adhere to and promote the environmental, health, and safety policies of AFLPersonal Qualities

Organization - ability to set prioritiesMultitasking - strong organizational skills and multi-tasking is a must.Detail oriented - strong attention to detail, due diligence for routine inspection with multiple product lines and complex drawings.Skillset and experience to read and interpret mechanical drawings.Communication - Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to clearly explain issues.Working Conditions

Experienced user of Oracle preferred.Experienced user of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.Strong bias for action and problem-solving with a mindset towards quality and protecting the customer.Business Requirements

Job involves sitting, standing, walking, and lifting for periods of time throughout the day.Minimum Education Preferred Degree or Type

Technical associate degree or BS degree a plus, minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a position that requires an understanding of quality control.Experience in ISO 9001:2015 standards a plus.Competent user of Oracle preferred.
