JOB SUMMARY

Provides the first level of problem solving for end users for both PC and electronic health record (EHR)-based systems. Installs and maintains PC's and other computer hardware and software, including basic networking for the facility. Assists staff with operational needs. Reports to MIS Manager. Non-Exempt position.

Schedule

Monday-Friday 8:30A-5P (on-call 7 days a month)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAssists end users with various PC and software issues.Installs, tests, monitors and maintains PC's, printers, network terminals and other equipment and communication software.Installs data communications equipment according to manufacturer's instructions.Assists users throughout the facility; trouble-shoots problems.Assists in resolving critical issues with MIS team members.Performs routine repairs as needed.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education

High School Diploma or GED required

Minimum of two years of experience working with end users in IT (computer hardware/software) troubleshooting, repair and/or diagnostics required.

Associates Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.

Required Skills

Must possess superior ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred.

Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service.

Must possess high degree of organization and be able to multi-task efficiently and effectively.

Advanced computer knowledge required, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.

FUNCTIONAL DEMANDS

Functional Job Requirements :

Job requirements include, but are not limited to: sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, squatting and reaching. Requires good finger dexterity, repetitive motions with hands and fingers. Requires ability to have good vision and hearing. Pushing and pulling equipment may be necessary.
