Event Services Coordinator (Part-Time)

Circuit of The Americas (COTA) is a 365-entertainment destination for world-class events located in Austin, TX. The sports and entertainment portfolio at COTA is unmatched in the country with Formula 1 US Grand Prix, NASCAR and MotoGP attracting global fans during championship races on the famed Circuit and Live Nation producing over 30 headline concerts every year at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater.

Job Description:

The Event Services Coordinator is primarily responsible for effectively assisting the COTA Events Team with the on-site execution of our events, creating a positive client experience, and providing exemplary customer service to all guests. A Day-Of Coordinator should be professional, team focused, and have a positive attitude. This candidate will report to the Director of Events.

Essential Functions:

Provide on-site presence and assistance during motorsport and venue eventsAct as a liaison between clients and any necessary departments, including catering, housekeeping, operations, general services, etc.Greet guests and visitors warmly and make them feel welcomeContinually develop solutions to operational and logistical challengesProvide exceptional customer service with a team player attitudeMaintain high levels of professionalismMulti-task and prioritize as necessary to meet customer needsRepresent COTA with integrity and dedicationRequirements

Job Requirements

1+ years of previous customer service and/or event coordination experienceAbility to work flexible hours as needed for event schedules and extended hours during events (18-20 hours per day) in any weather elements.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Superior written and verbal communication skillsAbility to make timely and sound decisionsExemplify strong organizational skill with ability to problem solve and work independently in a fast-paced environmentMust have a service-oriented mindset and great attention to detailProficient in Microsoft OfficePhysical Demands and Work Environment:

Ability to stand, sit, use of hands to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms.Ability to lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds.Ability to squat, bend, twist, push/pull.Ability to stand/walk for long periods.Work in extreme environments outdoors throughout the year.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud during events.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this job.
