VMware Engineer
Our client, a leading Financial services company, is seeking a VMware Engineer to join their team on a remote schedule. This role is crucial in implementing, configuring, managing, and troubleshooting technologies that support our client's virtualization strategy. The ideal candidate will excel in both technical and administrative tasks, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, effective communication, teamwork, and participation in a 24x7 on-call support rotation.
Please note, this is a W2 Contract role. We can not do C2C. NO C2C arrangements offered. Also, at this time our client can only accept the following: US CItizen, GC EAD, GC Holder, TN VISAS.Key Responsibilities:
Virtualization Management:
Install, configure, and manage VMware environments, including vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vRealize Operations, vRealize Log Insight, Orchestrator, and SRM.Cisco UCS Management:
Install, configure, and manage Cisco UCS environments, including Central, UCS Manager, Fabric Interconnects, and B/C-Series servers.HyperFlex Management:
Install, configure, and manage Cisco HyperFlex environments, including Intersight, UCS Manager, Fabric Interconnects, and C-Series servers.Troubleshooting:
Quickly and accurately resolve issues, providing root cause analysis as needed.System Availability:
Proactively ensure the highest levels of infrastructure and systems availability.On-Call Support:
Participate in a rotating 24x7 on-call support for emergency technical support and planned maintenance activities.Additional Responsibilities:
Success in this role will be enhanced by:
Anticipating and adjusting for potential impacts.Applying engineering principles to system design and enhancement.Documenting new systems or modifications to existing components.Ensuring the security and integrity of systems and solutions.Managing projects through their full lifecycle.Adhering to change control standards and procedures.Leading, guiding, and mentoring less experienced staff.Supporting business needs through engineering tasks and assignments.Presenting clear, organized, and concise information to aid in business decisions.Providing technical leadership in architecture and solution development.Requirements:

Also, at this time our client can only accept the following: US CItizen, GC EAD, GC Holder, TN VISAS.Proven experience in designing and deploying Cisco UCS infrastructure to support VMware vSphere environments.Expertise in designing and deploying VMware vSphere virtualization environments.Proficiency in deploying and operationalizing the VMware vRealize suite, including Operations Manager and Log Insight.Experience in designing and deploying hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) solutions, such as Cisco HyperFlex, Nutanix, or Hyper-V.Hands-on experience with scripting languages like JavaScript, PowerCLI, Python, and PowerShell.Strong research, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.Excellent organizational, planning, and time management abilities.Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.Demonstrated strong work ethic, adherence to deadlines, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.General knowledge of networking and storage concepts.VMware VCP or VCAP certification in Data Center Virtualization.Desired Skills:
Candidates with the following skills are highly desirable:
Experience with automation software (e.g., Ansible, Packer, Terraform, Azure Automation).Hands-on experience with data center replication technology, such as VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM), Rubrik, and Zerto.Experience with public cloud platforms like Azure and AWS.Hours:
Monday through Friday, TBD.On-call availability 24x7 on a rotational basis.Location:
