Help Desk Technician

In this role, you will provide maintenance of the computer desktop environment by analyzing requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions, and staffing the internal IT Helpdesk. You will be responsible for administration and internal support of the Company's PCs, printers, cell phones, tablets, and related equipment. Tasks include end user support, license tracking, and performing PC maintenance, upgrades, and configurations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide helpdesk support and resolve problems to the end user's satisfactionMonitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdeskModify configurations, software settings, etc. for approved corporate standards on the local workstationSetup of mobile devices including phones, tablets, and MiFi'sProvide assistance to end-users on operation of any IT systemsDocument internal proceduresInstall, test, and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment, and softwareProvide training to new usersMaintain inventory of all equipment, software, and software licensesEscalate issues in a timely manner to the proper technicianVerify users and computers are assigned to proper groupsPerform timely workstation hardware and software upgrades as requiredTravel to other company offices and job sites as needed to support end-users
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
SKILLS:
Knowledge in Microsoft Operating Systems and Office Suites, particularly as it relates to end user basic functionsFundamental understanding of networking, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Windows ServerCustomer-oriented and cool-tempered with excellent communication skills
Demonstrated capability of strong problem-solving skill using logical and methodical methods
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Experience troubleshooting and repairing computersExperience installing and configuring desktop softwareExperience with Apple and Android cell phones and tabletsA minimum of a high school degree is required. Some college education would be a plus.
