Business Development Manager - West Coast

We are seeking a business development manager for a Global Medical Device Contract Design and Manufacturing company.

Manufacturing capabilities range from high precision molded components and medical and biopharma tubing to drug coatings, finished devices, catheter shafts and hypotubes for minimally invasive, handheld, and catheter-based devices. ISO 13485 certified quality systems and FDA registered sites are located throughout the Americas, Europe, and Asia.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for identifying target opportunities and/or accounts, as well as developing and implementing a strategy to maintain a sufficient sales pipeline to achieve the strategic growth targets and initiatives as defined by management.Responsible for identifying new opportunities, then driving and managing those opportunities/programs (as needed internally and/or externally) to commercialization.Own the customer within their region and is responsible for taking ownership of those customers to ensure that a positive customer relationship is maintained, and customer satisfaction is achieved.Key account responsibility as assigned. Responsible for communicating and reporting activities, regional strategies, program developments, etc., as defined by management.Utilize internal legal and/or Management team to successfully negotiate contracts with customers including: NDA's, Supply Agreements, Quality Agreements, etc.Participate and provide support to trade shows, sales meetings, and other sales-related functions as requested and/or defined by management.Qualifications:

Location: Home Office & Candidates must be currently located in the state of CA, USA.Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical or Related Degree.Minimum successful 10-years field sales experience in a manufacturing company (Medical device OEM/Contract manufacturing strongly preferred). Focus on conceptual selling solutions, technical sales.Successful field sales history in Medical Device OEM /Contract Manufacturing.Technical Knowledge of Silicone, Elastomeric compounds and/or Thermoplastic Materials.Technical Knowledge of Injection Molding and Extrusion Manufacturing Practices.Understanding of Quality Standards and Validations (IQ/OQ/PQ's, Cpk level, AQL's, etc.).Understanding of Medical Device Governing Bodies and Documents (FDA, ISO, cGMP, etc.).General Knowledge of Lean Principles (Kaizen, 5S) and Six Sigma.Strong Technical, Analytical, and/or Problem Solving and field management skills.General professional, business acumen including: cost estimating, financial analysis, and ROI activities.Strong communication skills (Oral & Written).Strong computer skills (Communication, Presentation, and Reporting) in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, TEAMS and Salesforce.com or other equivalent CRM systems)Must demonstrate history of strategic sales process opportunity management.Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects, track progress of projects and stay on schedule. Strong planning and organizational skills.Spanish a plusExcellent Organizational / Multi-Tasking SkillsHigh Level of Customer Focus & Self InitiativeSelf-Managed (capable of working from remote location with limited supervision).Strong Relationship Skills / Team Player (internal & external)25 - 50% Travel required to get in front of customers (utilizing effective travel practices)Facilitate multiple on-site visits of customers to facilities for sales purposes on a year over year basis
