ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Handle routine telephone calls and direct calls to appropriate personnel and distribute student messagesAssist administrative secretary with student and staff needs.Provide back-up and assistance for administrative secretary and learn to operate cash receipting system as back-up to ASB secretary.Provide training and direction on tasks for student aides in main officeGreet parents, teachers, patrons, and students at the counter, ascertain needs, and provide assistance as appropriateDistribute district and US mail, complete large mailings, and maintain a professional and orderly appearance of main officeCreate letters, memorandums and forms, update daily bulletin on KHS web page and complete tasks assigned by principal and secretariesGeneral typing and clerical dutiesAssist staff and students as directedTake all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilitiesAssist in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and board policies

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma and/or equivalent; prior job related experience with increasing levels of responsibilityWORKING ENVIROMENT:

The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 80% sitting, 10% walking, and 10% standing. The job is performed under some hazardous conditions.
