The District Sales Manager directs and oversee sales representatives and manages the daily sales operations. Provides direction for the sales team by developing sales representatives, creating plans for the team's effective operation, and encouraging team members to surpass short- and long-term sales goals. In addition, the Sales Manager oversees sales strategies, establishes sales objectives, and monitors sales results.The person hired into this role should sit in our Tracy, CA location and will work a hybrid 3 days a week in office schedule. .Responsibilities:Execute continuous daily pursuit of major prospective customers and expand sales to existing accounts through new products and servicesCommunicate all customer feedback to leadership on product feedback and any future opportunitiesLead regular team meetings to facilitate discussion and the sharing of innovative ideas related to growing sales revenue and marginResponsible for day-to-day sales activity and achievement of revenue goalsDeliver sales pipelines, forecasts, and pricingPropose and achieve weekly and monthly forecastsDevises sales strategies and techniques necessary for achieving sales targetsExecute sales processes and proceduresBe an agent for change, demonstrate the ability to execute the successful and smooth transition from current to desired culture, practices, structure, and overall organizational environmentLeverage CRM data to evaluate team performance, monitor for trends, and identify opportunities.Consistently meet and exceed sales goalsImplement directives as outlined from leadershipEnsure that day to day responsibilities such as prospecting, account development, site inspections and proper account management practices are completed to company standardsProactively develop a world-class sales force through recruiting, selecting and growing exceptional sales talent, managing / coaching employee performance, motivating, and holding employees accountableFacilitate leadership development within team, identify and foster future leaders to support business succession plansEstablish and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective customer account contacts with the intention to maintain and grow market shareDrive alignment, define performance measurement, and develop long term development plan with sales representativesExecute business plans with new and existing accountsRequirements:High School diploma or GED equivalent requiredBachelor's degree or equivalent amount of professional experience requiredMinimum of 3 years of sales leadership experience with a proven track record selling in competitive markets and 1 year experience in a level leadership roleExperience successfully managing and executing challenging sales cycles, yearly plans for a business and delivering on revenue, margin, and cost targets on a consistent basisGrocery, foodservice, and distribution experience is preferredStrong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to execute multiple initiatives autonomouslyAbility to communicate with leadership and customers through interpersonal skills and presentationsSolid knowledge on project management and negotiation tacticsLeadership skills with the ability to articulate ideas, delegate, direct, motivate and train staffAbility to quickly acquire new skills and grasp new ideasAbility to close deals and mentor teams to effectively achieve targetsExcellent PC skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) and ability to learn new applicationsTravel is required throughout the territory. Expectation is to be in person with each Sales Rep as needed or as often as possibleFlexibility to frequently travel throughout the continental U.S.So, what are you waiting for?
