This role also assists the performance of building enclosure commissioning, assessments, design, and testing projects through successful integration of the project teams with the clients by working to address client needs and expectations.Key Responsibilities:Attracts potential customers through cold calls or using other means of communication to pursue bids, obtain referrals, and promotes all of SSR's servicesFocuses primarily on Nashville and Tennessee based clients. Supports national clients and pursuits as necessary.Educates potential clients about the services offered by SSR through presentations and workshopsCoordinates with the marketing department in the development and production of proposalsReviews contracts to provide suggestions and identify any errorsSends proposals to clients and negotiates contracts that specify scope of services for each projectEnsures the effective delivery of project details and requirements to Building Enclosure Services team members by briefing the project manager and attending the initial project meetingProcesses sales for Building Enclosure contractsEntertains potential and existing clients (e.g., golf, lunches, sporting events)Maintains communication with clients and reviews project reports/plans to ensure clients are satisfied throughout the project and the contract is being fulfilledSearches for potential projects and pursues projects desirable to the programAssists in the performance of Cx contracts by attending project meetings, reviewing site visit reports, and performing field work when necessaryAttends trade shows and conventions to enhance the image of SSR, market services, and create new relationshipsRegisters the program on city, state, schools, and general contractor bid lists in order to obtain projectsTracks where SSR is registered as a vendor and has active or past projectsCoordinates with Building Enclosure team members to provide professional development opportunities and training for industry professionals and potential clients based on their areas of expertiseCollaborates with other SSR programs to sell their engineering services, integrate services, answer questions, and provide additional solutionsActively participates in professional organizations where the technical reputation and image of the firm may be enhancedEngages in self-education and training in order to keep up with current industry trends and changesDemonstrates/presents business case for energy efficiency projects (cash flow, simple payback, ROI)

An ideal candidate will possess the following requirements:Technical or Bachelor's degree in one of the major technical disciplines practiced by the firm OR five years of applicable experienceBuilding enclosure technical certifications preferred or ability to acquireKnowledge of building enclosure/envelope systems: roofing, walls, fenestrations, glazing, waterproofing etc.Knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) softwareKnowledge of project proposal and business letter formatsKnowledge of the development of SSR work products and execution of processesKnowledge of standard and high-performance construction techniquesKnowledge of marketing and sales techniquesKnowledge of Building Automation Systems and ControlsCoordination - ability to work with other service line partners to meet client needs
