We're extremely proud of our portfolio of brands, our achievements in sustainability and industrialization and the groundbreaking work accomplished by our people.This position is responsible for coordinating all activities related to developing strategic approach to growing the Specialty Market Segment, managing corporate relationships with the key converters, and developing strong relationships with targeted end users. The successful candidate will have primary territory responsibilities for the SE US geography and will lead the integrated Segment Team. Responsibilities include managing price, product, quality, service, new product introductions, and communications. Will work with / through regional personnel in an effort to develop and increase and/or maintain share/profit position with these assigned accounts and in an effort to increase Cascades - Sonoco's exposure on a national basis.What you'll be doing:Strengthen and develop relations with key personnel at national accounts through extensive personal contacts at all levels of management, correspondence, and regular attendance at trade association meetingsResponsible for owning and managing all facets of relationship with accounts. This includes expanding relationships into C-Suites as well as having regular contacts with various functions within the account. (depth and breadth)Demonstrates value proposition to the customer in terms of the customer's financial strategies and measures. Able to quantify the value of our solution in terms of the customer's financial strategy and ROIAble to deliver Boardroom level presentationsCoordinate quarterly reviews to include: sales data, quality, delivery, TCO projects, and value generationWork with Converters to optimize value of our products on their equipment/in their applicationsMonitor and coordinate Supply Agreements, Inventory Agreements, CDA's, and bid proposals. Maintain proper linkage with the functional groups at all timesReview customer complaints and work with plant and/or regional personnel to ensure that concerns are resolved expediently and to the satisfaction of the customerResponsible for ensuring AR/DSO is managed and kept within the terms of the customer agreementHave strong market knowledge of North American poly coated board markets and sustainable solutions in these markets. Understand value proposition required to win in these marketsResponsible for attending appropriate trade shows and becoming Sonoco's 'expert' in the targeted markets servedKeep JV team informed as to competitive activity at accounts assigned to include share, price, quality, product offerings, and all other areas of involvementDemonstrate consistent, methodical work habits to drive and complete the account management process, within time and resource constraints.Develop a 'pull' strategy by working with end users to specify our products if necessaryMake recommendations regarding competitive market price points for products, manage adjustments in prices, and coordinates all pricing activities internally and externallyPrepare and maintains account plans for each account assignedCoordinate the implementation of these account plansDevelop strategic plan for account 1-3 5 year modelsStay abreast of major business trends and technical developments as they relate to assigned markets and accounts and provides management with regular updates for planning purposesWork with appropriate personnel to develop new product and service offerings for assigned markets and accountsResponsible for internal and external selling to drive the Big Picture alignment and to ensure customer focus and operational optimization are prioritizedAnalyzes and evaluates customer forecast and assists S&OP effortsProtect assets, confidential and restricted information, developments, specifications, materials, legal obligations, and other such data in contacts with external partiesComply with all company policiesDemonstrate knowledge and understanding of Cascades Sonoco including businesses, organizational structure, value drivers, products and services, and competitive market positionQuestion and challenge the status quoDisplay honesty and integrity, and honor company, customer and personal commitmentsThis is remote position with the desired candidate located in in GA, AL, SC, or NC.We'd love to hear from you if:Minimum 4 year college degree.5+ years experience in corrugated or Folded Carton manufacturing and a minimum of 3 years commercial, industrial manufacturing or sales experience in B2B environments, selling/marketing experience with national account management experienceFamiliarity with the packaging industry, specifically food service and corrugated marketsStrong written and oral communication skillsStrong working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and WordAbility to travel 2-3 nights/weekThis is a progression position and level will be based on candidate experience and business needs.Compensation:Account Representative I: The annual base salary range for this role is from $67,040 to $75,420 plus annual target bonus of 12.5% of base salaryAccount Representative II: The annual base salary range for this role is from $82,800 to $99,360, plus annual target bonus of 12.5% of base salarySenior Account Representative: The annual base salary range for this role is from $94,200 to $113,040, plus annual target bonus of 12.5% of base salaryAccount Manager: The annual base salary range for this role is from $111,825 to $134,190, plus annual target bonus of 12.5% of base salary#LI-TW1At Sonoco Products Company, we offer a comprehensive total rewards package, including competitive pay and benefits.
