Rycon is an ENR Top 400 Contractor, ENR Top 100 Green Contractor, and is celebrating our 35th anniversary this year (2024). We excel in preconstruction planning, MEP expertise, with experienced project team members focused on the multiple markets we serve. We also have an in-house Architectural Woodwork & Specialty Fabrication Division that ships/installs nationally.
Rycon is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager at our Pittsburgh office.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
Develop qualified business leads in core marketsResearch and find new business in emerging marketsIndustry networking to increase brand awarenessActively promote Rycon Construction within the industryBuild new customer relationshipsCreate strategies to secure new business and leadsPlan and execute preselling activitiesLead assigned proposals and develop winning strategiesAssist leadership in Go/No Go decision making for prospective opportunitiesTrack and manage opportunities in Client Relationship Management (CRM) databasesResearch and understand current market conditionsSecondary Responsibilities and Duties:
Strengthen existing customer relationshipsSupport active preconstruction or bidding activitiesDevelop designer/subcontractor/supplier relationships to support securing new businessPresent industry related topics to customer baseWhat you will need to be successful:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or related fieldMinimum of three (3) years' recent experience in construction fieldAbility to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast-paced, high-production environmentExcellent verbal communications, time management, organization, and writing capabilityComputer skills required: Microsoft Office SuiteSelf-motivated, adaptable, and goal orientedCordial disposition with a team attitudeDemonstrate integrityExcellent presentation skillsProfessional imageAdept business judgementAdditional Attributes Preferred
Experience with industrial, higher education, and private medicalVoluntary participation in committees serving community and industryExisting relationship network
