POSITION SUMMARY:
This position reports to the Warehouse Manager and is responsible for performing all day-to-day activities of the warehouse department in an organized and detailed oriented manner, which can include shipping, receiving, material handling, inventory operations, operating system transactions (SAP), and any other activities required to support the physical movement and electronic tracking of materials to and from the Warehouse.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:Safely use forklift, pallet jack and hand cart to load, unload, and move product throughout warehouseProcess and track incoming and outgoing orders - receive, unload, stage, stack and place product in appropriately designated areas; and collect, prepare, package and label goods for outgoing shipmentsLabel warehouse stock for quick, easy identification and retrieval, and perform detailed manual inventory countsKeep warehouse and work area clean and organized and ensure tools and equipment are kept in clean, working orderComplete transactions in software system (SAP) to maintain correct inventory and for proper invoicingAdhere to OSHA/DOT standards and safe work practices at all timesPerform all other warehouse duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED equivalent, and previous experience in shipping, receiving, material handling is a must; preferably in a manufacturing warehouse environmentForklift certification and/or ability to successfully complete forklift trainingBasic math and computer skills; SAP or other ERP system experience a plusFamiliar with common warehouse tools and equipmentStrong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with co-workers, supervisors, and delivery driversSelf-starter with the ability to work under minimum supervision, be highly motivated, and enjoy working as part of a teamPHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to work an eight (8) hour shift in a fast paced, chemical manufacturing warehouse environment. Overtime may be requiredMust have the ability to lift, push/pull, and carry up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods of time, and frequently walk, bend, kneel, stoop, reach, climb, and generally perform physically demanding tasksWill be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, hard hats, steel toe cap boots, and company provided uniform
FLSA STATUS: Hourly/Non-Exempt
HOURS: 40 Hours, Full-time
WORK SCHEDULE: 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Monday - Friday
