Job Summary:The Administrative Fellowship is a one-year post-graduate learning experience with the opportunity to apply graduate study principles in the practical work setting of a fully integrated health care delivery system.
Key Position Details:Job Description:Principle Responsibilities
Leads and contributes to the work of various strategic goals and projects.Leads the work unit/project team to carry out assigned duties.Identifies and uses internal and external support resources to accomplish work goals.Assumes role assignments when needed or requested.Offers information and perspectives regarding current trends and issues to stimulate new ideas and thinking.Develops conclusions and implementation plans for projects.Participates in senior level team meetings.
Builds a broad range of healthcare management skills.Works effectively with all levels of leaders and clinicians throughout the system.Directs or leads the efforts of others in a work group or project team.Leads/contributes to/participates in committees related to project work and other assignments.Presents findings and implementation plans to appropriate leaders as needed.Participates in professional/organizational development opportunities.Completes operational improvement initiatives through data collection and analysis.
Participates in professional development.Works with mentor/manager to formulate plan for professional development.Attends educational opportunities as appropriate.Participates in professional activities and organizations to maintain knowledge of current trends, practices, and developments.Builds and maintains positive working relationships throughout the system that enable efficient leadership through complex cross-departmental collaboration.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Master's degree in healthcare administration, hospital administration, public administration, or business administration required and0 to 2 years experience within the healthcare industry, e.g. internship, externship, fellowship, or employment required
Physical DemandsSedentary:Lifting weight Up to 10 lbs. occasionally, negligible weight frequently
