The

Construction Project Manager

is responsible for overseeing insurance restoration projects. Mainly residential but may include commercial. This position requires the ability to simultaneously manage multiple residential restoration projects at various stages of production and requires frequent job site visits, customer interactions and overall responsibility for production and quality control.

The ideal candidate will have expertise with residential project planning, procuring materials, pulling permits and coordinating inspections, over-seeing subcontractors, maintaining a clean and safe job-site as well as the ability to perform hands-on carpentry work as needed.

Just as important is demonstrating superior customer service skills and the ability to meet deadlines, provide timely communication, maintain current job status notes electronically and obtain all required documentation and payments.

The position may require working a

fter hours/on-call beyond your normal work day. This may mean nights, weekends and/or holidays

Overall Responsibilities:Professionally represent the company’s Purpose and Core ValuesAdhere to company SOP’s, including accurate job costing, homeowner communications and job notations in DASHPerform Pre-Construction meetings and take notes of any additional work or changes to original scope of workCreate project plan and timeline; provide detailed calendar of work schedule to customerObtain permits and meet with building inspectors and mortgage company inspectorsReview scope of repairs to assure accuracy of work, labor and materials required for completing the jobDevelop a detailed materials list for assigned projectsMaintain current knowledge of building codesCommunicate with the client regarding status of the projectFrequent job site visits to assure quality and customer satisfactionMake sure the job site is clean and secure at the end of the dayTake assigned projects to completion based on written scope of repairsThis is not an all-inclusive list of every job duty affiliated with the Construction Project Manager position and is subject to change

Work environment:Generally, works is performed at various jobsites as necessary to supervise safety and quality of work being performed. Sometime being in an office environment is required to complete paperwork. Activities occur inside and outside and subject to:Weather and temperature changes.NoiseHazards such as; moving vehicles, proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, high places, high heat and exposure to chemicals.Atmospheric conditions such as; fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases or poor ventilationClose quarters: crawl spaces, small enclosed rooms, attics, etc.

Job Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Construction Project Management, Business or similar preferred4+ years’ experience in residential construction/remodeling project management2+ years leadership/supervisory experience with proven team building skillsRestoration / Insurance claims experience a PLUSIICRC certifications in Water, Fire and Smoke, etc. a PLUSProficiency in Xactimate a PLUSIntermediate Microsoft Office user; Excel, Word, and OutlookProven business management experience including scheduling, budgeting, negotiating and decision makingEffective organizational, stress and time management skills; proven ability to multi-taskExcellent communication skills with people from all walks of lifeProfessional appearance and demeanorSelf-motivated, responsible, and accountableAbility to work after hours/on-call on as needed
