• Total weekly compensation: $2,612.00

Hours:

• 36 hours per week
• Rotating shifts including nights, days, and mid-shifts

Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Travel Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) Nurse to join our team in Rochester, NY. In this role, you will provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients post-surgery or trauma in a travel nursing capacity. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment while exploring the vibrant city of Rochester.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess critically ill patients in the SICU, including those recovering from surgical procedures or trauma.
• Administer medications, perform procedures, and manage complex patient conditions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor and interpret patient vital signs and other clinical data.
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and recovery.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in New York State.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Surgical Intensive Care Unit nursing.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
