WHAT IS REQUIRED?
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field.
  • Four to six years of experience in finance, planning, or accounting within a bank, accounting firm, or related business.
  • Comprehensive understanding of finance and accounting in a community bank.
  • Proficiency with financial tools and models, including spreadsheets and accounting software.
  • Strong adaptability, change management, and time management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.

WHAT WILL I DO?
  • Serve as an advisor to the President/CEO.
  • Develop and implement board policies concerning accounting and compliance.
  • Create the annual budget and develop tactics to meet financial targets.
  • Analyze variances to the plan and devise corrective steps.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis on branch, departmental, and product profitability.
  • Develop internal rate risk analysis.
  • Manage the bank's investment portfolio, including purchasing, selling, and liquidity management.
  • Collaborate with external investment resources to maximize profit while minimizing risk.
  • Oversee the bank's accounting functions, ensuring accurate reporting.
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger and chart of accounts.
  • Develop asset/liability reports for the committee.
  • Lead the asset/liability committee, making recommendations on mix, pricing, gap, and ratios.
  • Work with the bank's ALM vendor to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Develop and enforce procedures for expenditure requests.
  • Recommend efficiencies and cost-saving measures throughout the bank.
  • Serve on the audit committee and assist with audit procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and other requirements.
