ACCOUNTING MANAGER / GENERAL LEDGER ACCOUNTING MANAGER
Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH), a non-profit service provider in North Carolina & Virginia, seeks a skilled and detail-oriented Accounting professional to become a full-time Accounting Manager at our Headquarters in Raleigh, NC.
What You'll Do
The Accounting Manager functions primarily as an integral part of the finance team and reports to the VP of Finance. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, providing timely financial statements, and supporting cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting analysis. The Accounting Manager interacts with all functional areas of the organization and supervises the staff accountants.
The Accounting Manager will function as the leader of the Finance team which furthers the finance and administration goals of the organization. This person must possess excellent customer service, computer, administrative and organizational skills, be able to multi-task effectively and work well under pressure. The individual must be able to work independently, be flexible and keep projects and responsibilities prioritized while leading other Accounting staff. The incumbent will manage the monthly financial closing process, including reviewing and signing off on balance sheet reconciliations, and preparing reconciliations of complex & high-risk accounts. The Accounting Manager also coordinates the revenue cycle process and monthly reporting, including recording revenue from billing systems and manual invoices, cash posting activity, and analysis of accounts receivable aging. In addition, the Accounting Manager will serve as administrator of the Organization's general ledger, budgeting & reporting, and lease accounting software platforms.

What We're Looking For
To join our team, you must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance, and have a minimum of five year's experience preferably in public accounting with an emphasis on healthcare or nonprofit business. It is ideal that the incumbent is proficient in Excel and be a functional leader with team management and mentoring abilities. You must also be willing to successfully complete a background check.
