Through expanded capacity and new technologies, Merritt Precision is transforming ideas into reality.Job DescriptionWe are looking for an intern to work with our Milling Programming and Production team for 20-30 hours per week between 8 AM - 5 PM. This is an onsite position that will report to our facility on Merritt Island. If you are a student at a local college or university looking to join an organization that values people, performance, and philanthropy, then this is your job!Key Responsibilities:Performs research, design, and development of manufacturing processes, including production flow, assembly methods, and production equipment. Prepares and maintains detailed layouts of buildings and equipment. Designs, develops, tests, and/or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery, and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods. Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency. Represents manufacturing on cross-functional teams.
