Key Responsibilities:Provide leadership for the assessment of learning/resource needs and establish directional goals for hospital staff development aligned with service, teaching, and research objectives.Collaborate with department managers and resource personnel to prioritize staff development needs, using indicators such as new policy development, technology, patient case studies, and quality assurance monitors.Establish and maintain a resource pool of health professionals, current healthcare information, and media/material resources to support staff education and professional outreach.Monitor staff education and professional outreach program offerings, ensuring compliance with Joint Commission annual education and certification requirements.Recommend program direction and focus, identifying new learning needs and recognizing emerging lines of service.Direct the Simulation Learning Center Programs.Partner with Clinical Department leaders to oversee federal apprenticeship, nurse residency programs, CNA training programs, MA training programs, phlebotomy training programs, and leadership fundamentals.Manage the budget and all other financial operations of the department.Collaborate with the ACNO to continuously develop strategic plans for the department, including creating and supporting a single-entry point for education, outreach programs, and staff development.Supervise Education department personnel, including staff development, employee relations, performance appraisals, and timesheet management.Perform community outreach endeavors as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Required Education:BS in Nursing, Business, or another health-related field.

Required Licenses and Certifications:

Current Registered Nurse or other Health Professional License to practice in the state.

Required Work Experience:

Minimum of five years in Hospital and Health Care systems.Previous teaching experience in formal/informal settings.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal skills.Ability to function independently, with attention to detail, work under pressure, and prioritize multiple projects.Creative, energetic individual with strong public relations abilities; professional appearance, attitude, and motivation essential.Leadership ability with working knowledge of leadership principles and management skills.Proficient in e-learning, simulation for healthcare professionals, and mixed-modality teaching.Self-directed, creative, and shows initiative in developing educational programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree in business, nursing, or other health-related field.Prior experience as a nurse educator.Recent Health Care experience with a clinical focus.
